Update on the Travis Powers case PER Gary Torlina"s E-mail 01/10/2018
Today 01/10/18 I attended the sentencing hearing for Travis Powers and read a victim's statement on behalf of our
association. Powers received a sentence of 9 months in county jail, 5 years felony probation and is supposed to pay
$69k ++++ in restitution to the association, which is the amount taken with a small amount of interest. I was asked if
we would accept 180 days of work relief instead of jail time, which I refused. We asked for 1 year in jail and he was
given 9 months. So far he has put up $5,000.00 of the total amount owed.
Not sure at this time how long it will take to get the total amount owed to us, but I will be updating when needed.
Thanks to all our members for your support.
Getting ready to put together our news letter for the Boxer Shorts.
